IN RECOVERY

IMG_0783

I just got released from the hospital after a 4day stay. One of which was spent in the ICU. The doctors said that I had suffered from ” physical exhaustion, dehydration, and a bit of malnourishment”. All I remember is passing out alone in my shop and waking up 12hrs later in the ICU with tubes in my nose and mouth.

For the past year I have been running full speed in efforts to set the proper wheels in motion. Day in and day out I’ve had to push my limits both physically and mentally. Just to stay afloat and in sync with the hectic passe of being a business man, a celebrity(I use that term loosely) and a father. By no means is this life style an easy feat. At one angle it my seem to be glitz and glamor. Underneath the surface the true image is revealed. Contending in such an arena is hard work and if one intends to be viable. Then one has to come to the realization that “the work is never complete”. There will always be another step to take. Another project to complete with in a specified dead line. Another party to attend in order to net work and make connections. I’m not sure if People even go to parties to listen to music and just hang out any more. Now days they seem to be business meetings with music in the back ground. If you want to be known or seen its in your best interest to attend.  All this in hopes to stay in the light. To be a contender. Nothing wrong with that, we all desire to make our mark in this life in some way or another. I just need to passe my self.

I’ll be back on the scene soon enough. Till then I’m in my PJ’s for the next few days drinking cranberry juice and eating fruit. A little rest and relaxation will do me some good. Pinkies up..

    Hi Artist,
I have watched you every since your first appear on groomer has it and won, which I was so glad you won. I am sorry to see you had to be in icu and I hope you are well very soon. I have two dogs I which there was a groomer such as you where I live in Noblesville, Indiana. I have a minuture poodle and I have never been able to have her groomed by anyone like I completely like whatsoever. I have been doing the best I can and I have been grooming her myself. She looks ok but I wish I could have her groomed properly at least one time. My other dog is a minuture pinscher , gtroomeing her isn’t a problem. But I wish you were nere us. Well, I hope you get back to feeling well soon. get your rest , you are so talented .btw did your mom’s new wheelchair come? You look like your mom. How is your sister, did she have the baby yet? Take care, and God bless you and your family.

    Artist,
Take care of yourself! Hope you have a speedy recovery. Make sure you set specific times aside that you won’t be working. Take time out for yourself and your son :-) What good is success if you don’t get to enjoy any of it?

    Take care,
    Mandy

Awwww–get well soon. Remember to take as good care of yourself as you do your clients! Congrats on all the new business ventures–my girls and I are big fans of yours. It’s not easy starting your own business (I have done it and it can be a bear to get going with clients/referrals, etc.). You just stick to your plans and you WILL remain successful!

Much hugs from sunny Florida to you , Ariel, & Bumpy, healing prayers to your mom, and greetings to the rest of your wonderful family we saw on the show this season! :o )

Hi Artist! Your body is begging for a little break, so it better be the last you ignore your body yelling at you!!! I’m keeping you and your family in my prayers. My baby BooBoo, who’s been in heaven for 37 days is also shining down on you guys. He was your #1 fan. This September for his 4th birthday, I wanted you to groom my baby. So maybe next year I’ll be ready for another Chihuahua, and I’ll look you up for an appointment. Rest up, and may God Bless YOU Always!!! =)

    Hey, Artist,

So sorry that you got sick. But, I’m glad that you’re recovering. We have a dog grooming business and we make it a point to do something fun totally unrelated to the business once a month.

    Take care and best wishes.

    Artist,
I am a Mom. So, here comes some Mom talk. I cannot imagine how you lasted this long without your body saying, Whoa! You are an incredible young man with so much to give to this world. You are so special Artist…you just cannot know that yet. When I logged on FB this morning and read you shaved your head, well, I, who have never met you in person, but, followed you on Groomer Has It and Bev Hills Grmr…just wanted to come over and tell you everything will be ok. First and formost Artist, YOU are in charge. NO ONE else. Listen to the advice, but, follow your instinct, your personal credo. There will be and are those around you who are jealous, envious and just may not want your success to happen…do NOT let anyone make you feel less than who you are. Ever. Stand up to them the instant you start feeling this is happening. You will be amazed at the strength this will give you. You have the wisdom, the drive, the intelligence, the savy to succeed in all your goals. Just breathe each day, set reasonable goals, enjoy who you are, bring your sweet son close and hug him- that will help you keep everything in persepctve. You will be fine Artist, just one day at a time. I see so much for your future, your successes, your giving back, you son growing into a wonderful young man….so much Artist…..ok, enough Mom talk….just know you are respected. Molly Hopkins

    Artist,

Your family needs you too much, don’t over-do it, you have to slow it down a few notches. I’m sorry to hear that everything caught up with you, the ICU is not a good place to be! You set a great example to a lot of people, in many different ways. I’m clear across the country and I wish you well. Take care and be well, slow it down just a bit and thanks so much for keeping all of your fans up to date of what’s going on! We really do care! Hugs to you, sarah in PA

I read twitter and you said your mother has died & you broke your hand. I am so sorry but, why are
you working today and not making arrangements for your mother? Also you do not even have a
cast on your hand, maybe a strange kind of break….
    Regards, Diane
